Viter Energy Mints are breath mints about the size of an Icebreaker or Altoid mint. The mints are wintergreen flavor with a touch of menthol for a strong kick. They're strong so if you don't like strong mints then you'll probably not like our mints! They're round and they sit comfortably in your mouth.
Each mint is 900 milligrams by weight and contains 40 milligrams of caffeine.
One mint has roughly 1/2 the amount of caffeine as a standard 8 ounce cup of brewed coffee. One mint also contains approximately 1/2 the amount of caffeine as in a standard sized energy drink.
Viter Energy Mints are certified Star K kosher. They are vegan and gluten free, although they're not certified. For more information, check out our FAQs here.
When we started Viter Energy, we wanted to know: How much caffeine do we really need?
We did a lot of research on the optimal amount of caffeine for increased performance.
We also made this product with two things in mind:
This is tough because caffeine is naturally bitter. So, the more caffeine per mint the harder it becomes to make the mint taste good.
So even though everyone has a different tolerance level for caffeine and different taste preferences, we aimed for one mint to have enough caffeine to provide a small amount of energy for the average person while still tasting good to most people.
We tested over a dozen samples with different amounts of caffeine. We found that 40 milligrams of caffeine provided a small boost to the average person who tried the mint.
The inspiration for this product was to be able to control your energy levels.
So if one mint at 40 milligrams of caffeine isn't enough, you can just have one more mint.
We chose 40 milligrams because at this level, you can decide how much caffeine you really need.
We think it's important to give you this level of control over your caffeine intake.
With these mints, you need less caffeine than you think.
When you're eating a mint, it dissolves in your mouth. The caffeine then gets absorbed into your body via your mouth, and not through your stomach as it does when you consume a caffeinated beverage like coffee or tea.
This absorption is called sublingual, and because of this you'll feel the caffeine from the mints faster than you feel the caffeine from a beverage. Also, you'll find that you won't need as much caffeine as you think you need to feel a boost.
Depending on your caffeine tolerance, most people feel the caffeine from 1-3 mints eaten within an hour.
We took a great tasting mint formula and simply added caffeine and a B-vitamin complex. The mints are made in the United States.
Each tin of mints contains 20 mints.
